Journal 46

I love House. No not like my house, the show House on Fox. I had never watched it until I came up here to state and my roommate watched it. Now a days, I can't get enough of it. It is so unlike any of the other typical hospital dramas out there like ER or Grey's Anatomy (ick!). I find those type of shows very boring and predictable. But shows like House and my other favorite hospital show Scrubs have something different about them that makes them interesting. In House's case you have a very intelligent jackass of a doctor that pretty much gets away with anything becuase of how good of a doctor he is. Also his abrasive Vicodin popping personality makes for some interesting scenes when interacting with anyone. The best part of it is you don't really need to know much about the series to start watching it, so if you have never seen it before, you should check it out, it's on usa a lot, and new episodes are on every tuesday on Fox.

Even though I didn't immediately comment that doesn't mean you shouldn't still be updating these! Don't let them wait until the last minute. And I could go on and on and on for numerous paragraphs of my total adoration of House, which I am fully proud of, and how Grey's Anatomy has never enticed me.
What's amusing is that the show demonstrates that line in medicine of caring for the patient vs caring for the problem (which can be two completely different things). Making it more complicated is having to deal with knowing all the information relevant to the case, yet realizing the source of information (that patient) is probably leaving important parts out or switching around details.
Now, I'm not sure the data on their polled information, but the news claiming just the other day that many doctors are wanting to leave their profession because of the difficulties in dealing with insurance companies just exacerbates this situation.
Before I continue down this path though I'm just eagerly awaiting next week's episode that better be two hours though since they didn't specify two, my guess is it'll be an hour and a half. Oh well.
